The shadows she observed on the lawn inspired her to work for months on a technique, which however, did not paint the object she chose onto canvas. The image has been transformed to it's own representation which is based its interpretation from the artist. This works best when working with living things as well as items that have a shelf life like fruits and people. Techniques of photography and painting are closely coordinated and result in a flat, two-dimensional area that is trompe l'oeil. Certain elements of the picture such as the hair, or eyes, display the three-dimensional dimension. Meade is also able to integrate her model paintings into the space of 3D that surrounds them. Interaction between them as well as the world they created is possible. The result is a blurring of the lines between photography, painting, and installation.
