Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe, a British-Nigerian mixed race child was born into a family in South London. She has a father who is Nigerian and Swiss and the mother of her is English. She was lived in a housing estate run by the council located south of London. In the ages of 14, she attended The Brit School. She attended The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London in which she earned an acting BA. While at school she appeared in a variety of stage productions including King Henry V's princess Katherine or Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe's acting journey began in the series Storm Damage. In the years since, she's made guest appearances in Teachers, Doctors, Casualty, and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's breakout came with 2007's Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream. It was in the role of Colin Farrell (who played the role of Cassandra) as well as Ewan McGrath. After that, she played Elisha in the one-off BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN which aired in 2007 and she also appeared in the six episodes of Trexx and Flipside playing Ollie. In 2008, the actress was offered Bambi, the lead role in the ITV2 comedy Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe also played the main character on How to lose friends & alienate people, which was released by Sony Pictures Entertainment 2008. Theatre credits for Madekwe include Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe made her official US debut in the 2009 drama The Beautiful Life, which only aired two episodes on The CW before being cancelled. Ashley Davenport, a character on ABC's Revenge drama, was chosen as Ashley Davenport. Madekwe was a regular on the drama series on ABC Revenge for two seasons. It was revealed in May 2013 that she would leave the series after making a guest episode in the initial episode of season three. From 2014-2016, Madekwe starred in the role of Tituba the television series Salem. Madekwe got married to her actor boyfriend Iddo goldberg in June of 2012. They collaborated on Secret Diary of a Call Girl. He was also a part of the cast with Madekwe in Salem.
Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress, was born into a huge family in Hamilton, Ontario. Her parents were Roy and Patty along with her older brothers -Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram. Ashley's brothers, who were all very athletic, played hockey in the winter and baseball during the summer, so that she grew up playing in parks and arenas. Ashley did not walk, but she was a dancer, and at age 2 1/2 years old she took up Baby Ballet -and she fell in love. Ashley began to develop a love of dancing when she began the Baby Ballet. Ashley continued to perform competitively through high school graduation, in top divisions such as ballet, tap, Jazz and Pointe. She also competed in Acrobatics, Acrobatics Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, and more. Ashley took home the best soloist award at every major dance competition, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance among some.
